About
- I am a child of the King, and my greatest desire is to glorify Him with my life.
- I enjoy traveling and am trying to see as much of this amazing world as I can.
- I adore funny people and love reading funny blogs, perhaps too much.
- I love all things fall and have this not-so-secret desire to spend a few years living in New England someday.
- In early 2013 I quit my job, sold my car, and moved to Russia to live out a dream to be in a place where I had to totally live by faith. I loved the adventure-ness of it and the chance I had to live by faith and experience God providing for me in ways I never gave Him the chance to while still living my “figured-out American life.” There is more to life than accumulating nice things and having a perfect, cookie-cutter life and people who have abandoned all to follow Jesus around the world inspire and motivate me! After Russia I spent a year living in Australia before heading to Fiji for 9 months. Next I am planning to move to China, if God allows. For the time being, I am back in America waiting to see what happens in the course of world events.

Jen! Hey I was hoping to see pics of homecoming… where are they?
Look under the sports catergory
So… I somehow missed the update on this page! Nice pic at the top! I love that you can totally see your eyes! The one at the bottom isn’t too bad either! 🙂 WI was a blast and had it’s bad moments to, but I wouldn’t trade it! If anything, it made winters in DE VERY mild (not as mild as CA, but… :)).
I switched the order of the bottom pics… 🙂
That’s a nice picture of you and Rebekah. Glad to learn more about you!
Hello Jennifer. I didn’t know you very well as a teenager, but I’ve been getting to know your adult self a little bit by reading your blog! (hope you don’t mind) I spotted the link on Rebekah Bower’s facebook account. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I’ve been having fun reading about your life, and catching up a little bit. Your hair really is gorgeous!!!! And I loved the post on being single. I looked at some of the pictures of Antonia and her little girls, it was sooo fun “see” her again. She has a little girl named Lily? I do too, probably about the same age. 🙂
Well, like I said, hope you don’t mind. Maybe I’ll get a chance to talk to you later.
Aleassa
Hey Aleassa,
It’s good to hear from you, no I don’t mind at all, of course! 🙂 I’m glad I have your email address now, I want to see what you have been up to! I’ve seen Phil a few times in the last few years, but I can’t even remember the last time I saw you or James! Hope you guys are doing well!
ha ha ha love the cat pic!! that was a fun night…the ice skating was fun too…but cold and hmm..yeah the whole falling thing isnt fun either…especially in a skirt! (*modesty 😛 )
I love your car! It is really cute. I have a hard time imagining you driving that instead of your old truck though. 🙂
Sigh. That truck was such a faithful little truck. I’ve gotta give it props for puttin’ up with those crazy Wisconsin winters! It was a real trooper! 🙂 It felt crazy weird to get rid of it and start driving a car, but I’m so in love with my car now. I gotta get a better picture of it, that one isn’t that great.
Thank you for your congratulations comment on my blog–I appreciate it! What year is your brother? Our youngest is a redheaded girl, and we both said how beautiful you are! You have a fun blog, and I DID sign the petition against universal health care, so thank you! I love seeing blogs from informed, intelligent, caring people. Blessings to you!
That’s cool you have a redhead! 🙂 James is in his second year at the Academy (so I guess he’s a C3C?)
Thanks for signing the petition and for stopping by! 🙂
LOVE your about you page and I LOVE a red-head!! Double points! 🙂 Keep it up, love the pics!!
=) Thanks!
I loved your blog and I’ll follow it! 🙂
Enjoy the ride!
Thanks! Glad you like it =)
Really like your blog! It seems like many of us 20-somethings are exploring the world. I especially liked the quote: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” That is so true!
So true, there ARE a lot of us 20-somethings exploring the world these days. I am so thankful for how easily accessible the world is to us nowadays! =)
I love the quote too – since I love traveling AND reading!
I love to watch all the beautiful photographs on your blog and it only gets better every week that I come here. So I’ve nominated for the ‘Versatile blogger Award’. Please find the link here: http://yetanotherfancy.wordpress.com/2011/10/09/sunshine-on-a-gloomy-day/
Cheers!
Thanks so much, I appreciate it =)

Looks like you have had some awesome experiences! Glad to see you having so much fun 🙂
I thought the pictures of you all over the place were really cool! We’ve gotta add Chile to that list!
Yes, South America is very under-represented in my travels (considering I’ve never been, ha). One of these days I would love to make it down there!
that camel picture is so awesome! These pictures are amazing. You’ve lived more in your young life than most people in their entire life. Love, Maria Wesley, Jamaica
Thanks!
Yes, I do feel incredibly blessed to have been able to do and see all that I have been able to!
I found your blog through a recent comment you left on mine. Wow! You are an amazing photographer and quite the world traveler. Our family has been in 4 countries this year (Ukraine, Israel, USA, and Mexico) and I LOVE that my children get to grow up so well-rounded. God bless you, Jen, as you get to see the world through Christ’s eyes…
Thanks, Jolene. =)
I have enjoyed reading your blog – found it through Michelle Reasoner’s blog. That’s so neat that your kids get to do so much traveling – and get to grow up around other languages. I really wish I had learned another language when I was a kid. I am trying to learn a bit of Russian now and it’s definitely a challenge.
Yes, Russian IS a challenge, so I wish you all of the best as you learn. It is worth every effort and I so much enjoy being able to express myself in Russian after all of that hard work! Keep it up!
Thank you!
I love your blog! Your Faith, your pictures, your hilarious stories, and your bucket list are all so amazing! Keep up the good work. 😀
Thanks for stopping by! Glad you like it. =)
