Beautiful Alaska

I can’t believe how fast 2012 has been going! I cannot believe it’s June 8th already. Seriously!

And I can’t believe that two weeks from today we will all be up in Seattle getting ready to cruise to Alaska! I can’t remember the last time we’ve had a family vacation where all of us have been able to go, so it will be nice to spend some time together before James leaves again for pilot training!

Since I haven’t been the one planning this trip (at all – so nice!) I really haven’t been thinking about it much until recently. But I am starting to get really excited. Reading reviews and looking at pictures is helping. =) (ie, I really, really want to take this train ride!)

A bit bummed that our ship probably won’t be as good as the last one (apparently we were on a “foodie” ship haha – we LOVED it, great food! We really lucked out on our last cruise, didn’t know it was a 5 star ship until after the fact, ha. Now I know more what to look for in the future when sailing!) But…I do know that the scenery will be gorgeous! I just realized today that this will be my first time in Alaska where the sole purpose of the trip is having fun and seeing the sights! The last two trips have been great, but they weren’t “vacations” – so I’m guessing we’ll get to see even prettier places (if that’s possible!).
