      That’s awesome you get to go in a week, you will love it. I am trying to remember where we ate…Rome was the first stop on a 3 week trip and my brain is a little foggy on details right now, but kianys below says:I love Rome! Not sure, if itโ€™s still in business but try to see, if you have a chance to do dinner at โ€œLa frustaโ€ (the whip) โ€“ itโ€™s a small non-touristy place situated close to the vatican โ€“ itโ€™s amazing.
      Hope you have a great trip!

    Kudos to you for uploading such gorgeous photos with a limited internet connection. I too brave a dodgy internet connection to upload my posts, and sometimes it’s hair-raising!

      Thanks! It’s funny sometimes when I get back to the States to see the random, partial uploads that happened on my blog while overseas – posts I assumed never went up, and only parts of them did =). You just never know…

    I recently captured sceneries in black and white as well in my most recent blog. I must say, it looks more dramatic and captivating than regular colored shots.

    I love Rome! Not sure, if it’s still in business but try to see, if you have a chance to do dinner at “La frusta” (the whip) – it’s a small non-touristy place situated close to the vatican – it’s amazing. Your pictures are gorgeous! They make me want to hop on a plane headed for la bella italia a.s.a.p. – thanks for sharing and congrats on making f.p. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello, your photos are stunning. I’m a big photography buff myself and my boyfriend is an artist. I’m really new at this wordpress thing, don’t let my boyfriend’s gravatar fool you. LOL
    I’m not sure how to change it to my own photo yet, or at least just add mine. I’m still exploring, but man, I have to admit I’m jealous of your travels! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      I wish I’d had more time too. It was my first visit so I was trying to also do all the “touristy” things and see all the sites…I’d love to go back and just spend time photographing it! It’s a beautiful city!

      Three of the four were in or around Vatican City and then of course the Colosseum in Rome =)

    Just got back from Rome! It was amazing! So hot though but a nice change from the freezing weather here in Sweden! ๐Ÿ™‚ Great pictures and congrats on getting Freshly Pressed!

    I still use black and white myself on occasion, especially for structures. To me it works well. Great shots.

    You’re a great photographer, capturing such details in your photos. There’s something about black and white photos that catch my eyes. The pictures look at peace, jolting me with nostalgia.
