This just in

August 27, 2010

You find your calling in life in mysterious ways. You just never know when that calling will come knocking at your door. Mine came innocently enough, just last night.

I was strolling through a church down in Long Beach  (A church that I hadn’t even planned on attending, but thanks to a last minute message from a friend I did indeed attend) when I received that “call.” That urgent “this is what you are supposed to do with your life” moment.

I happened to be walking by the missionary letters on the wall and one jumped out at me. A letter from a missionary to the Bahamas.

And it was at that moment I realized my true calling in life.

Yes, to be a missionary.

In the Bahamas.

Someone has to go and suffer, and if someone must do it, my hand is raised.

*Now accepting missions support.

Thanks, ya’ll, I know I can count on you 100%

C’mon, Becka, you know what they say: “The Lord works in mysterious ways.”
