July 4th weekend

July 6, 2009

I don’t have a single picture from anything that happened this weekend, so you will just have to imagine it all. 🙂 Saturday morning my brother and I found a Tax/Tea party/rally close to our house and went over there for a little while. It was a small crowd (not nearly as big as the last one we went to in Rancho) so while it wasn’t as much fun as the other one, it was nice since I felt needed there. 🙂 The older people there said they were encouraged to see “young people” out there, then one of them asked if we were in High School. See, it’s the hair. Major props to her for sure!

After the rally we went to the house for our becoming-somewhat-annual 4th of July FLS BBQ.  That was fun. We had people from Spain, Taiwan, Japan and China (I think).  Earlier in the morning we had lost power at our house (I guess there was an accident down the street)…but thankfully it came back on after a few hours, and before the party! Can’t do a SoCal summer day without AC! Although Saturday wasn’t as hot as it has been (at least it didn’t feel like it).

After that party we went over to the church for the college and career BBQ and then stayed to watch fireworks. After fireworks I stopped by Subway to see Ruth. I haven’t been in there since they remodeled and it looks really nice! And their cookies are really yummy too. 😉

Last night my volleyball team won again! Woo hoo! Although all the credit goes to Marc! I think he singlehandedly won it for us! We just sat back and let him take over. 🙂 Our first game went very well and we won fairly easily. We played horribly the second game and lost. The third game we played badly too, but Marc managed to get us the win. Along with John and his serving.  Hopefully next week we will be back in sync and play better! But at least we won!
