BBQ Review: Red, Hot, and Blue – Annapolis, MD

May 9, 2009

Matt told us that there was a really good Barbeque place in Annapolis, MD.  So, after a long day of walking that led to our utter  exhaustion, we decided  to put his claim to the test.  The first mistake we made was showing up at a BBQ joint at 9pm.  Since never experiencing Red, Hot, and  Blue’s BBQ, we decided to order a platter with a variety of BBQ choices to get the full picture.

That was our second mistake.  The ribs were very dry on the outside and very, very pink.  They were not very flavorful and we had to add BBQ sauce to make them worth eating.  The brisket was decent,  but not nearly as succulent as Famous Dave’s brisket.  The pulled pork was a little dry,  but definitely better than the pulled chicken.  All had to be supplement with one of their choices of BBQ sauce.
