Driving through Croatia

April 28, 2014

After leaving Plitvice Lakes National Park, we hopped back on the bus and headed down for Split. Along the way we passed through some of the most gorgeous scenery! I was constantly switching sides on the bus, trying to get better views for taking pictures. Unfortunately, the bus windows were very dirty and the driver was racing through turns as if he was late for an important meeting. So, needless to say, none of the pictures turned out very amazing. =(

The Croatian countryside is so beautiful, but it’s so sad to see it strewn with abandoned houses, some of them in seemingly prime locations with gorgeous scenery all around. Every now and then a huge waterfall would appear out of nowhere. I felt so blessed to get to see this side of Croatia, but I just wished I had been driving myself so that I could stop and take pictures. ┬áIf you get the chance to visit Croatia someday, I highly recommend a drive through the countryside.
